It is with great pleasure that I write this note of recommendation for Trevor Wilcox, who served as Senior Creative Marketing Manager at the French International School (FIS) of Hong Kong during my tenure as Director of Marketing & Communications (from Oct 2022 to Jan 2024). Trevor is not only a highly skilled designer and an efficient line manager, he is also a person of reliable and pleasant character. His even-tempered nature, can-do attitude, and ability to remain calm under pressure made him a joy to work with. In the fast-paced environment of a through-train, dual-stream, 4-campuses school environment with a high volume of concurrent requests, he consistently demonstrated an exceptional ability to prioritize tasks and deliver outstanding results within deadlines. He was also highly appreciated by both administrative and pedagogical teams, as well as by parent bodies.

One of Trevor's strengths is his creative use of design softwares in a bilingual (French & English) academic context, always adhering to brand guidelines while pushing the boundaries of creativity. A standout example of his work was his contribution to redefining our weekly newsletter. Under my strategic direction, he transformed the newsletter from a "talking heads" format to a student-focused publication. This involved redesigning the layout, creating new sections, improving navigation, and integrating a rotating wheel of social media posts, which significantly enhanced engagement and readability.

Beyond his design skills, Trevor proved to be an adept technical problem-solver, creatively troubleshooting website and software issues that arose during our projects. His ability to work both independently and collaboratively was noteworthy. While he was a good team player within our marcom, event, and admissions teams, he also demonstrated the focus and discipline to work autonomously when needed.

His work on the Yearbook for three consecutive cohorts (2500 to 2800 students) and various public campaigns (tramways in particular) proved his attention to myriad of details in delivering elegant campaigns.

Finally, Trevor is highly adept at sourcing and managing third party suppliers and vendors within timelines and budget.

Trevor is an experienced Communications and Creative professional with a track record in the education industry. Trevor's contribution was instrumental during my time at GSIS. There were several key initiatives launched during the COVID period which was essential for Parent Engagement and Communications in that context. Trevor studied the needs and objectives set, and designed the new e-newsletter, a new website and a user-friendly APP that enabled us to share critical and important updates with parents in an efficient, reader friendly and timely manner. From the 50th-year anniversary celebration to many events and publications at School, his aesthetic taste and eye for details created many stunning key visuals that showcased the School's spirit, mission and our strength as a community.
